A 17-year-old boy is shot in the hip in the Bronx, reportedly by a gunman fleeing the scene on a Citi Bike, just hours after two other teens are injured in separate gunfire incidents. The violent events highlight a troubling surge in youth-related gun violence, as the boy, who is now stable at Harlem Hospital, becomes a victim in a city already grappling with rising crime rates.
