A 31-year-old woman from Bridgeport, West Virginia, named Janessa Mann, is facing felony charges after a firearm was discovered in her carry-on bag at the security checkpoint of Pittsburgh International Airport. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials intercepted the weapon on Saturday afternoon, marking the seventh firearm found at this airport in 2025.

Mann, who did not possess a valid concealed carry permit, faced potential fines from the TSA, which can reach up to $10,000 for first-time offenders and as much as $13,910 for repeat violations. The incident has prompted notification to the FBI as authorities investigate the matter further, underscoring the heightened security measures in place for air travel.
