Jillian Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot and critically wounded by police after reportedly refusing to drop a handgun while they responded to a nearby hit-and-run incident. The altercation occurred in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, where officers, responding to concerns over suspects fleeing a crash, confronted Jillian, who allegedly aimed her weapon at them. Following the shooting, she retreated into her home but surrendered later with the family’s babysitter.

Jillian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury and has since been booked for attempted murder. While authorities confirmed no officers or civilians were injured during the encounter, highlighting the unusual nature of the incident, further details remain unclear. Scott and Jillian Shriner, married since 2005, have two adopted children and have recently found themselves at the center of a troubling episode that has drawn public attention.
