A homeowner in Baton Rouge, La., defended himself and another relative from an alleged home invader, according to Baton Rouge police detectives.
The shooting, which occurred over the weekend of January 18-19, occurred after a male suspect allegedly entered the house occupied by the two victims. The armed resident repeatedly told the man to leave his property, but the suspect began to approach him “aggressively.” The resident fired two shots to stop his approach, wounding the suspect in the chest.
When officers arrived, they found the wounded suspect, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive. (WAFB News; Baton Rouge, La.; 1/20/25)
