The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office charges Kashun Nasir Holiday, a 27-year-old man from Roanoke Rapids, with several serious drug offenses following a routine traffic stop. Deputies discovered a substantial amount of cocaine along with marijuana and a concealed firearm during their search of Holiday’s vehicle, leading to charges of trafficking and possession with intent to sell.
According to authorities, the traffic stop occurred on April 22 when Deputy R. Lafayette detected the odor of marijuana while dealing with Holiday. Alongside the drugs, officers found over $1,000 in cash, raising questions about the scale of Holiday’s operations. He has since been released on a $100,000 bond and faces court on April 24, drawing attention to ongoing concerns regarding drug-related activities in the community.
