A 51-year-old man from Maryland, Anthony Edwards, is charged with armed robbery after a late-night incident at a Fairfax County convenience store. On April 25, the Fairfax County Police Department responded to the store following reports of a robbery in which a suspect brandished a firearm and stole items before fleeing the scene.
Police initiated a search and located Edwards hiding in the attic of an unoccupied home after a three-hour manhunt. Edwards is linked to a similar robbery at the same store earlier this month, prompting multiple charges against him, including two counts of robbery and possession of a firearm during a felony. He is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
