The Conway Police Department provides crucial updates on two shootings that occurred in the city within a six-day span, resulting in significant casualties. At a gathering on April 13 at 5th Avenue Park, gunfire left two people dead and nine injured, prompting investigators to identify multiple shooters and issue warrants against individuals including 21-year-old Keydrick Roddrell Johnson and his 18-year-old brother, Kemaria Tyrone Johnson. Those currently in custody face notable charges, including felony capital murder and terrorism.

Additionally, a separate shooting incident at the University of Central Arkansas on April 19 injured one man and led to the arrests of three individuals, as well as an outstanding warrant for 23-year-old Zion Bernard Jackson. With 29 rounds fired during the UCA shooting, the police emphasize the seriousness of the threats posed to the community, making it clear that the department will continue to investigate and provide updates as they unravel the connections between these two violent events.
