Doughnut Shop Owner Kills Armed Robber in Houston

The owner of a southeast Houston doughnut shop fatally shot an armed man during an attempted robbery early Thursday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. at the Snowflake Donuts store, located near the Houston Botanic Garden, when an assailant wearing a black hoodie entered the shop brandishing a firearm and demanding money.

In response, the shop owner drew his own gun and fired at the robber, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
