This investigation, which led to 14 arrests, sheds light on how straw purchases allow non-citizens to obtain firearms in a region known for its more lenient gun laws. The task force revealed that illegal funds from this operation exceed $34 million, raising significant concerns about the intersection of illegal immigration and public safety in central Kentucky.
