Henry Repeating Arms may have single-handedly resurrected the American-made lever-action market and helped usher in a lever gun revival. Not satisfied to limit themselves to America’s original repeating rifle, the company has branched out into other areas, including semi-auto pistol-caliber carbines and revolvers. This penchant for innovation has manifested itself in its newly announced “Special Products Division” (SPD), a cutting-edge R&D department that is making its debut with the new-for-2025 SPD HUSH series of rifles.

The Henry SPD HUSH is designed to be the ultimate lever-action suppressor host. The .45-70 Gov’t-chambered model is shown here.

The HUSH series is based on Henry’s side-gate, steel-frame Big Boy and large-frame lever-action rifles, rendered as the ultimate modern suppressor host. Designed to maintain a light weight, perfect balance and compact overall length, HUSH-series rifles use a match-grade BSF carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel with a 5/8×24 TPI threaded muzzle. Furniture is a gray laminated-wood buttstock, with checkering, that is hollowed-out to save weight, and a lightweight, skeletonized-aluminum fore-end with M-Lok accessory slots. A carbon-fiber Picatinny rail is mounted to the top of the side-ejection receiver for mounting optics. Metal components are given a matte-black finish.

From its carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel to its hollowed-out laminated buttstock, the HUSH is designed for optimal weight, balance and overall length with a suppressor installed.

HUSH rifles are available in five different chamberings: .357 Mag., .44 Mag., .45 Colt, .30-30 Win., .45-70 Gov’t. All have a 16.5” barrel for an overall length of 35.25”. Weights vary from 6.4 to 7 lbs. Capacity of the under-barrel magazine tube is seven rounds of the pistol cartridges and four rounds of the rifle cartridges.

All models of SPD HUSH series rifles have an MSRP of $1,999. For more information, see the company’s website.
