A man has been sentenced to five years in prison for drug possession and having a stolen firearm. Stephen Johnson was apprehended by Colonie Police on December 9 after his vehicle was found blocking a handicapped spot at the Albany Airport Inn, where officers discovered cocaine and a loaded Glock 22 handgun beneath his seat.
Crucially, police later confirmed that the Glock was stolen from New York Shooter Supply in 2017, raising concerns about illegal guns circulating in the community. Following his prison term, Johnson must also complete three years of post-release supervision, aiming to prevent future offenses.
