San Antonio Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Armed Robbery

Louis Beltran, a man with a significant criminal record, is sentenced to 30 years in prison for aggravated robbery at a local smoke shop. In a violent incident that occurred in the fall of 2023, Beltran threatened an employee at the Sugar Leaf Smoke Shop with a gun, forcibly restrained her with zip ties, and stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise, including vape pens and cash.

Prosecutors highlighted Beltran’s extensive history of criminal activities as a key factor in the lengthy sentence. His actions during the robbery not only instilled fear in the victim but also demonstrated a troubling pattern of behavior that contributed to the severity of his punishment.
