Missouri Proposes License Fee Hikes for Hunters and Fishers

Missouri Proposes License Fee Hikes for Hunters and Fishers

The Missouri Department of Conservation proposes increasing hunting and fishing license fees in response to rising inflation and competitive pricing from neighboring states. If approved, residents would see their firearms deer hunting permit increase from $18 to $19.50 and fishing licenses rise from $13 to $14. Significant hikes are also planned for nonresident licenses as part of the initiative.

This proposed adjustment aims to bolster funding for wildlife services, property maintenance, and program enhancements. The department has opened a period for public comments until the end of the month, inviting residents to share their thoughts on these potential changes before they are finalized.
