Benton County emerges as the top deer harvesting area in Missouri’s Lake Region, with local hunters bringing in a total of 2,316 deer during the November firearms season. This figure includes 1,195 antlered bucks, 219 button bucks, and 902 does, part of the overall statewide harvest of 158,712 deer reported by the Department of Conservation.
Meanwhile, Franklin County continues its leadership with the highest overall deer harvest in the state at 3,609 deer. The comprehensive data highlights significant hunting activity across other counties as well, making it clear that deer hunting remains a popular and vital aspect of local culture and wildlife management.
