While Heritage Manufacturing makes a wide variety of rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, the company’s Rough Rider rimfire revolver has not only been one of its most popular products but also one of the best-selling revolvers on the market. Combining affordability, single-action rugged reliability and timeless styling, the Rough Rider appeals to everyone from beginners to experienced shooters. New for 2026, the Rough Rider is going centerfire with a new model chambered for the .32 H&R Mag.

The compact frame of the Rough Rider is made of steel in the centerfire version.

The .32 H&R Mag. is a cartridge that brings respectable performance to small-frame revolvers. It is available with all types of bullets, from lead wadcutters to the most sophisticated self-defense jacketed hollow points and can be used for everything from competition to hunting to concealed carry.

The Rough Rider .32 H&R Mag. brings better ballistic performance to Heritage’s tried, true and popular revolver.

Unlike the rimfire Rough Rider, which has a zinc alloy frame, the new centerfire Rough Rider has a steel frame. This gives the six-shot revolver an extra heft, with the gun weighing in at 35.6 ounces. The standard barrel length is 6.5 inches to get maximum performance from the magnum cartridge, with a black oxide finish and black polymer star-pattern grip. If Heritage’s catalog is any clue, expect the centerfire Rough Riders to soon be offered in a variety of barrel lengths, finish and grip options.

The centerfire Rough Rider is a single-action revolver with a manual thumb safety.

The remainder of its features are classic Rough Rider. It is a single-action, solid-frame revolver with a manual ejector mounted to the barrel. Sights are the traditional fixed front and rear, and the revolver uses Heritage’s manual thumb safety.

The Heritage Manufacturing Rough Rider in .32 H&R Magnum has an MSRP of $258. For more information, see the company’s website here.
