Some article titles tell you immediately what you need to know and this is one of them. Even if you now live in the safest, most conservative area there are lessons contained within this article because you are very connected to every rotting liberal area in the country. You may think to yourself: “I am not in one of these liberal cesspools full of homeless zombies wading through a sea of hypodermic needles.” However, each of us is unfortunately connected to them as surely as an untreated festering infected cut even on your toe could lead to sepsis and your untimely death. Remember that most of my writings are a “Gedankenexperiment,” not a form of advice, but an extended thought experiment.
The first step is to understand the liberal hive mind where there is a collective “groupthink”. Liberals are amazing in their ability to conform and they often can quickly and in near unison change their pins, ribbons, or flags of loyalty depending on whatever is currently fashionable with members of their tribe. I have heard many times from knowledgeable observers that it only takes one issue for liberals to become unified over and traditional minded conservative people often divide over one issue when they often have almost everything else in common. Even today among Americans born in this country, the majority are still traditionally minded, but convincing a majority to see what is happening is a herculean task.
If you study various biological processes, you will see that nature often acts to preserve itself. You may remember from my last discussion about bees where the female worker bees will push the male drones out before winter as food supplies are prioritized and once the mating season is over the males are superfluous to the point of being a drain on the survival of the hive. The liberal hive mind does not prioritize the survival of the species: it is actually a parasite that eventually destroys its host and all of society with it. Think of a picture of a normal functioning beehive and then think of a “blue hive” where the workers are completely unproductive to the point of being counterproductive and are identified by bright blue bodies. My apologies to the productive blue orchard bees (Osmia lignaria) for this analogy, but I did emphasize “bright” meaning that the idea in biology of aposematism where bright colors often signifies danger in nature. If you have ever been out in the wilds of major urban jungles, you will see some individuals with unnatural bright colored hair and often maintaining a distance from these individuals is beneficial.
Most conservative people just want to be left alone and to be able to raise their families in a safe, ordered environment. In the recent past, men were able to work a job and even retire from a job receiving money that is worth something today and in the future. That was true for many years up until the last few decades. Starting in the 1960s, increased inflation started with the removal of silver coinage starting in 1965 and most families in cities lost the right to be safe as new rights were extended to criminals by activist judges.
Traditional Americans became part of a social experiment of high taxation, crime, and breakdown of the moral fabric of our nation. In this topsy-turvy world, property rights were destroyed in favor of “civil rights” where once property was held as sacred it now could be lost because someone was offended. Perhaps they got their “feelings” hurt because an individual did not want to do business with them because of religious or moral reasons and then they use the courts or various “human rights” commissions to get compliance or retribution. For most of the history of the United States, people had a right to choose with whom they associated.
The concept of property rights and natural law goes back to the writings of John Locke, one of the 17th Century political philosophers whose ideas the Founding Fathers used as the foundation of their cause of separation from England. Locke was famous for his assertion of the duty of government to protect “life, liberty, and property” as the core functions of government. Thomas Jefferson substituted “pursuit of happiness” for property in the Declaration of Independence and the elastic application of this phrase especially starting in the 20th century lead our country down some dark paths as people misunderstood certain words. It can be argued that property is part of the pursuit of happiness, but often people do not realize that a pursuit does not mean that you will get there. Many people enter races, but few will “win, place, or show” or even come in tenth or in a thousandth place.
The Founding Fathers created many guardrails and the biggest one was over taxation as protections are in the original Constitution. The Revolutionary War was fought over two principal ideas of against unfair taxation and gun control. The Founding Fathers knew that taxation was a very dangerous and in 1819 Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall wrote in McCulloch v. Maryland that “the power to tax involves the power to destroy.” In the original Constitution, only direct taxes such as equal per person taxes, import taxes such as tariffs, or excise sales taxes were allowed. Direct taxes similar to Lincoln’s income taxes that he used to finance the war on the states were later ruled unconstitutional. The 1913 amended constitution (debates over the process of the “ratification” of this amendment are beyond the scope of this short piece) allowed direct taxation to occur proportional to income and it has grown like an unwanted plant choking families and their future since.
Most of these Amendments and laws of the so called progressive era began in the year 1913 — such as on income tax, direct election of senators, and creating the Federal Reserve. These laws were originally sold as beneficial for common people, but in reality they became some of the ways that regular people have become economically suffocated. The income tax started with about 95 percent of the population paying no taxes and the top rate at 7 percent for those who made over five hundred thousand a year. Note that today, that would be someone who makes over a hundred million a year measuring the inflation adjustment, in gold terms. Today, virtually everyone pays some sort of tax including Social Security taxes which were not implemented until the 1930s. What was once thought to be a mechanism to soak the rich ended up draining everyday Americans.
Now, there is a renewed movement toward a different type of tax, not on income, but on wealth. This is currently being pushed at a state level across multiple “blue” states sometimes based on income, property, or wealth. Many people are pushing back by moving to lower tax states. Currently, these taxes are being pushed as a way to redistribute wealth from billionaires or people with high value properties to fund various social improvement schemes. Many of these proposed taxes are being marketed as a “one-time” scheme, but things that are done once are often done repeatedly.
Governments are addicted to spending and revenue in the form of taxes are the easiest way for them to get their fix. Unfortunately, the more money the government takes in, the worse the conditions are for everyday Americans. Currently, if every billionaire in our country is taxed at 100 percent or complete wealth confiscation, it would result in about 8 trillion dollars in revenue one time. The federal government currently spends over 7 trillion dollars a year. In years to come, wealth taxes are likely coming for millionaires and then for everyone.
Don’t worry everything will be legal and democratic. There will usually be a vote for people who will eventually decide this matter in the form of Senators and Representatives which you will likely be eligible to participate in if you have not lost your right to vote because of likely new “thought crime” legislation. If you are against it, then you will likely be on the losing side because of the tens of millions of the newly naturalized American citizens formerly of the Third World who want to get your money, land, and everything else you have. Maybe they will bring some musical accompaniment to the expropriation fest similar to the looters in JWR’s novel Expatriates with their catchy chant: “We gonna get some, get some, today…take some, take some, take some more. Get some, get some, get some more.” The taking and getting will be your wealth and then eventually your women. Your bloodline will be destroyed as the nation is fully conquered by Third World savages.
If you are looking to the Courts for even a hint of protection, you will likely not find it. Back in 1933, the wealth of the American people in the form of gold was seized from them by executive fiat. The courts reneged on their duty to protect the sanctity of contracts and protect widows and orphans many of whom bought World War One Liberty Bonds backed by the promise of gold in repayment. The Courts gave them nothing, but devalued paper. The Gold Clause cases of 1935 are still a stain on this nation which abrogated 720 years of contract law, spitting on the Magna Carta and every principle of property rights flowing from it. After “New Deal” legislation was being overruled as unconstitutional, attempted Court Packing was involved until the courts became more compliant with conservative justices retiring or expanding their judicial appetite. This time the courts will be well packed with 13 or more Supreme Court justices until the rubber stamp of the entire socialist wish list is achieved. Remember it will all be “legal and democratic.”
Is there anything to do? I advocate peaceful means of registering your disapproval which the simplest for people is just to leave blue hives for better, greener pastures. Currently, conservative states offer much better living standards with usually lower taxes and regulations and millions of people have already moved! Over the short term, this can provide some breathing room. Perhaps states will be allowed to peacefully leave because if all of this socialist communism is so great, we conservatives want to make sure that they have more of it to spread around. Since freedom loving people want no part of this socialist paradise, we want to leave and as a consequence fewer people will be around to enjoy an even greater level of “benefits” which can be equally or equitably divided in whatever socialist scheme is preferable to them between the inhabitants of their socialist economic zones (notice that I did not say citizens). Over the long term, maybe some form of newly discovered energy will allow us to really “Get Out” by colonizing some other planet hopefully to be left to pursue our happiness far away from socialist do-gooders.
