Suppressing a firearm is the polite thing to do, for everyone from the hunting buddy sitting beside you in the field to your neighbor at the next bench on the range. Using suppressors allow us greater opportunities to exercise our right to bear arms and an armed society is…. well, we all know that quote. This is the idea behind the products and the name of Polite Society Industries, a new suppressor manufacturing company.

Polite Society Industries is a new suppressor manufacturing company located in Tampa, Fla.

Polite Society Industries is starting out by launching six new suppressors. All of the company’s suppressors are made through the process of “Laser Powder Bed Fusion,” or the technical term for metal 3D-printing, out of Grade 5 titanium or Inconel. Visually, all of its suppressors have built-in wrench flats for installation and removal and are given the company’s signature “Morse Code” gripping texture. Across the board, each Polite Society suppressor has a “Jet-Turbine Diffuser” endcap that disperses and directs the released gas for faster cooling and reduced muzzle signature.

The Temperance is a .22-caliber suppressor made of titanium that is rated up to .223 Rem. in a manually operated action.

In the rimfire category is the Temperance .22. The Temperance .22 is constructed of titanium and given a Type-2 hardcoat anodized finish. The result is 4 inches long, 1.25 inches in diameter and weighs 3 ounces. The Temperance has a few tricks up its sleeve to achieve these numbers. First, it has a hollow base around its thread mount (1/2×28 TPI direct thread), increasing the suppressor’s volume without adding extra length. Second, its internal design uses eccentric baffles, meaning the baffles use offset geometry to slow the gas and give it more time to expand and cool. The Temperance is rated for .22 LR through .223 Remington (manually operated action only) and has an MSRP of $250.

Polite Society’s “Tripass Core Technology” uses a central bore and two helical channels that wind around that bore.
The company cites multiple benefits to the “Acoustic Golfball Dimpling” it uses on the interior surfaces of some of the company’s suppressors.
All Polite Society suppressors have a “Jet-Turbine Diffuser” endcap.

The remainder of Polite Society’s centerfire-rated suppressors share certain features. They used the company’s “Tripass Core Technology,” which has the central bore and two helical channels that wind around that bore. This design gives the gas a longer path to the exit, retaining it and allowing it to cool and slow down.

The suppressors’ internal surfaces also have “Acoustic Golfball Dimpling.” The company cites this as having three benefits: It increases the internal volume of the suppressor, it makes the tone of the report lower and deeper, and it adds strength to the suppressor body. Finally, all have Hybrid Universal Base (HUB) mounting threads, and their mounts have integrated muzzle brakes for reduced signature.

The Fortitude is a 5.56 mm suppressor that is made of Inconel 625 (top) or Grade 5 titanium (bottom).
The Verdict is a 7.62 mm suppressor that is made of Inconel 625 (top) or Grade 5 titanium (bottom).

Polite Society makes two 5.56 mm and two 7.62 mm suppressors. They are identical except for the material they are made of and their weight, giving purchasers a choice between lightweight and hard-use models. The Fortitude 5.56 has a length of 5 inches and a diameter of 1.69 inches, with an MSRP of $600. The Ti version is made of titanium with an anodized finish and weighs 6.4 ounces. The HD version is made of Inconel and weighs 11.5 ounces.

The Verdict 7.62 has a length of 6.41 inches, a diameter of 1.75 inches, and has an MSRP of $650. The Ti version is made of titanium with an anodized finish and weighs 8.33 ounces. The HD version is made of Inconel and weighs 15.4 ounces.

The Huckleberry is Polite Society’s multi-caliber model that is adjustable from .22 caliber through .30 caliber, with interchangeable endcaps and mounts, to handle cartridges from .22 LR to .300 Win. Mag.

In the multi-caliber category is the Huckleberry, a suppressor that is versatile from .22 LR to .300 Win. Mag. Its endcap is threaded, with a .36 caliber/ 9 mm endcap included and .22 caliber and .30 caliber endcaps available as accessories. On the other end, the suppressor comes with .36 caliber 1/2×28 TPI and 5/8×24 TPI mounts. You can purchase a .22 caliber 1/2×28 TPI or .30 caliber 5/8×24 TPI mount. Constructed of titanium with an anodized finish, the Huckleberry is 6.50 inches long, has a diameter of 1.75 inches and weighs 8.60 ounces. It has an MSRP of $750.
