A disgruntled driver of a pickup truck in D’Iberville, Miss., was shot and killed in the driveway of a local home on June 20, after apparently threatening the homeowner, according to local reports.
Police say the 53-year-old man was driving a blue pickup truck just after 8 p.m., when he was first involved in a road-rage incident with another driver. The witness said the man stopped his truck beside him and made threats. When the witness drove away from the scene, the driver of the pickup fired two shots at his vehicle, then departed the scene.
Then the 53-year-old drove to the home in question, and police say he and the homeowner had been involved in an ongoing dispute. After pulling into the driveway, the man allegedly brandished a firearm, causing the homeowner to open fire. The 53-year-old was found with a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed in the incident. (Dark Horse Press; D’Iberville, Miss.; 6/21/24)
