Texas-based Bond Arms has made a business out of bringing the Remington Model 95 derringer into the modern era. New for 2024, the company is adding three updates to its existing lines of handguns with the Stinger Fireball, Honey B and Cyclops Thumper.
The Stinger Fireball is the slimmest and lightest handgun made by Bond Arms.
Bond’s aluminum-frame Stinger-series are the lightest and slimmest handguns the company produces. The Stinger Fireball combines a black anodized 7075 aluminum frame with a built-in trigger guard, 3” stainless steel barrels and checkered and extended B6 resin grips for a two-shot handgun that weighs a mere 14.4 ozs. with an overall length of 5.5” and height of 4.19”. Chambering options of .22 WMR or .327 Fed. Mag. lend the “Fireball” part of the moniker. The Bond Arms Stinger Fireball has an MSRP of $399.
The Honey B adds the heft of stainless steel to the Stinger frame.
The Honey B uses a Stinger-size frame, but it is made of stainless steel. Like the Fireball, it has 3” barrels, extended B6 grips and the same external dimensions, with the steel frame adding 3 ozs. to the overall weight. Metal surfaces have Bond’s Rough-series matte finish. Available chamberings include .22 LR, .22 WMR, .327 Fed. Mag., .380 ACP, 9 mm Luger and .38 Special. The Bond Arms Honey B has an MSRP of $329.
The Thumper combines Bond Arms’ Cyclops series of “hand cannons” with the .50 AE cartridge.
Bond’s Cyclops series of handguns are single-shots designed to handle the largest of cartridges, including .45-70 Gov’t. and .44 Magnum. This year the company is adding a .50 Action Express chambering to the Cyclops lineup to create the “Thumper.” The Cyclops uses a 4.25” barrel with the same external profile as Bond’s double-barreled models, but with a single bore machined in it.
This is paired with the company’s stainless steel Cyclops frame with removable trigger guard. Grips are made of checkered B6 resin and extend over the frame to provide more gripping surface. Like the Honey B, metal surfaces have the Rough-series matte finish. The resulting pistol has an overall length of 6.75” and weighs 28 ozs. The Bond Arms Cyclops Thumper has an MSRP of $649.
