Armed Citizen® Today An overnight break-in attempt in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., ended badly for a suspect after he encountered an armed homeowner. Police responded to reports of a shooting at about 3 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, and found a home-invasion suspect with a non-life-threatening injury. An investigation revealed that the suspected burglar had been caught by the homeowner after entering the home. The intruder allegedly “refused to leave,” prompting the homeowner to open fire.
