The Bolivar Police Department has taken two juveniles into custody following a suspected armed robbery on June 4. Police responded to the scene around 1:45 p.m. near West Jackson Street and the Frisco Highline Trailhead, where they reportedly found a firearm and other evidence linked to the incident. In light of the unfolding situation, Bolivar Middle School implemented a “secure” status to ensure the safety of students and staff. Two brothers, 32-year-old Marcel Laquan Whitney and 33-year-old Eric Lavon Whitney Jr., have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on June 4 outside Hilda’s Family Country Store in Washington, North Carolina.
