Ismael Terrero-Terrero, a 22-year-old from Bethlehem, has been sentenced to three years and four months in federal prison after being found guilty of stealing over 150 guns from three local gun shops. Federal authorities report that he used a pry bar to break into an Easton store in April 2023, stealing several firearms and vandalizing display cases. In total, he burglarized stores in Catasauqua and Telford, amassing a staggering 157 stolen guns.
These firearms have been linked to crime scenes as far away as Connecticut and even the Caribbean, raising serious concerns about public safety. In addition to his prison sentence, Terrero-Terrero is ordered to pay approximately $26,800 in restitution. His actions highlight ongoing issues of firearm theft and its implications, prompting a broader discussion on security measures at gun shops.
