A Birmingham shooting linked to a drug deal and a prior dispute over a dog has left a reality TV star and his girlfriend dead. Teddy Edward “T.J.” Lee Jr., known for his appearances on TLC’s “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding,” and 33-year-old Brittany “Taylor” Brewer were shot on February 13, 2025, in their vehicle, suffering multiple gunshot wounds before being pronounced dead at the scene.

Demetrius Walton, 43, faces capital murder charges in connection with the incident. Witnesses indicate an argument between Lee and Walton preceded the shooting, raising questions about the motives behind the confrontation. According to police reports, numerous shell casings were found around the victims’ Jeep Renegade, alongside evidence of drugs and a handgun recovered from the vehicle, suggesting a violent encounter during a drug transaction. The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover further details and additional individuals involved in the case.
