Brazil’s federal police conduct raids on multiple homes associated with a criminal organization accused of smuggling 2,000 assault rifles from Miami to Rio de Janeiro. The operation follows a long investigation triggered by a 2017 seizure of firearms at Rio’s international airport, which helped authorities identify the group’s leader.
