A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were wounded in two nearby shootings in the Bronx, occurring less than 15 minutes apart on Friday night. The first incident happened around 9:08 p.m. on E. 146 St., where the man was shot in the torso by two suspects who fled on a Citi Bike. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he is expected to survive.

Just twelve minutes later, a woman was shot inside the St. Mary’s Houses NYCHA Complex on Westchester Ave., sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg. She was also taken to Lincoln Hospital and is in stable condition. Authorities are investigating whether the shootings are connected, as both incidents involved suspects on bikes who remain at large. A blood trail could be seen on the 19th floor of the building where the second shooting occurred, raising concerns in the community about safety.
