Tovi Mesick, the suspect in a 2023 shooting incident in Burlington, is arrested and faces new charges related to the illegal possession of numerous edged weapons, including swords and axes. This recent arrest comes as police investigate a theft of knives from a local hardware store, revealing that Mesick is prohibited from owning dangerous weapons due to his ongoing legal troubles.

At 43 years old, Mesick has a history of law enforcement encounters, including a previous conviction for aggravated assault and charges involving firearms while under the influence. In January 2020, police seized over 15 firearms from his residence, prompting concerns regarding his access to weapons, especially given his recent alleged violation of a court-ordered 24-hour curfew following his attempted murder arrest.
