A 22-year-old college student, Logan Federico, is shot and killed in South Carolina by a man described as a “career criminal” during a burglary gone wrong. Federico, who was visiting friends in Columbia, was fatally wounded after the suspect, Alexander Dickey, allegedly broke into her host’s home, stole several credit cards, and shot her while she slept.

Authorities reveal that Dickey, 30, had a lengthy criminal history with over 40 cases, including convictions for burglary and strong-arm robbery. In a tragic turn of events, he used the stolen cards for purchases shortly after the incident, showcasing a chilling reality of violent crime that deeply affected Federico’s family, who remembered her as a loving individual pursuing a teaching career.
