A 25-year-old man from Colorado Springs, Jahlique Rahmir Dorsey, is sentenced to 141 months in federal prison for his involvement in two armed robberies of Brinks employees in 2023. Dorsey, along with his accomplice Jarrett Lacourtney Grier, targeted employees servicing ATMs, first robbing a Wells Fargo employee in Colorado Springs and then attempting a similar robbery in Aurora six days later.
The first armed robbery on September 26 involved Dorsey and Grier threatening a Brinks worker at gunpoint, only to discover the stolen bag contained rubber bands. In the second incident, the duo escalated their violence by physically assaulting the Brinks employee and stealing cash along with the worker’s service weapon. There is growing concern from law enforcement following these robberies, prompting an FBI investigation led by the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. Grier is set to be sentenced on July 30, 2025.
