Concord police officers shoot and injure an armed suspect involved in a bank robbery after a high-speed pursuit that began Monday morning in San Jose. The incident started just before 10 a.m. when two armed suspects robbed a Concord credit union, leading to a chase that involved multiple carjackings and ended when their vehicle became disabled on Interstate 680.
During the pursuit, the stolen vehicle made its way into San Jose, where officers confronted one of the armed suspects, resulting in a police shooting on Timothy Drive. The injured suspect was taken to a local hospital, and a second suspect was located shortly after in the vicinity. Local authorities are currently investigating the bank robbery and the police shooting, prompting road closures in the area.
