Dove hunting season is officially underway in North Texas, starting September 1 and running until November 9. In Frisco, hunters have designated areas where they can legally hunt, provided they have permission from landowners. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department outlines that hunting must also adhere to safety regulations, including maintaining a significant distance from schools and residential areas.

In Frisco, specific maps highlight permitted hunting zones, with green areas representing tracts of 10 acres or larger and blue areas indicating those of 50 acres or more. Hunters are reminded that a valid hunting license and a Migratory Game Bird Endorsement are required. Legal shooting hours extend from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset, emphasizing the importance of safe hunting practices in the community.
