The city of Harrisburg has installed a poignant memorial featuring approximately 50 T-shirts, each one representing a victim of gun violence, in a bid to honor the lives lost and advocate for change. Organized by Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence, this installation serves as a critical reminder to the community and lawmakers about the urgent need for legislative action aimed at curbing gun violence.

Among the proposed measures are universal background checks for handgun purchases and restrictions on military-style assault weapons. Ann Van Dyke, a representative of the local chapter, emphasizes the importance of the memorial both for grieving families and as a call to legislators for comprehensive reform. The memorial will remain displayed until May 27, 2025, with plans for further installations planned in the future.
