The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office has identified 42-year-old Richard Williams as the man who was fatally shot during an attempted home invasion in Summerville early on May 7. Deputies responded to the scene on Hope Drive shortly after 1 a.m. and discovered Williams dead after he reportedly attempted to forcefully enter the residence.
