The ‘Top Gun’ franchise has shaped military recruitment and pop culture since its debut in 1986, with the original film significantly boosting Navy and Air Force enlistments. Its iconic status grew with the release of the long-awaited sequel, “Top Gun: Maverick,” in 2022, which not only revitalized the beloved character Pete “Maverick” Mitchell but also introduced cutting-edge special effects that drew in a new generation of fans.
