A police investigation is underway in Downers Grove following an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening, where two men were held at gunpoint and robbed of cash and cellphones. The shocking incident took place shortly after 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of 75th Street, prompting a swift response from local authorities who are now seeking information about the suspect’s identity.
According to the victims, the assailant is described as a man approximately six feet tall, wearing a ski mask, and sporting shoulder-length dreadlocks accented with yellow or gold highlights. This armed robbery follows another incident earlier in the week that resulted in the arrests of six individuals.
