Authorities are searching for a 35-year-old Iowa man suspected of a shooting at a River North hotel that resulted in one woman’s death and another’s injury. The incident occurred Saturday night at Level Chicago, where the suspect, on pretrial release from a gun charge, shot a 29-year-old woman in the lobby before fleeing the scene.
After initially being denied a spare room key due to a lack of identification, the suspect returned with a gun, wounding the lobby patron. Officers later discovered a 32-year-old woman fatally shot in her room on the 30th floor. The suspect, who has an extensive criminal history, remains at large as detectives continue their investigation, aiming to apprehend him swiftly.
