Kamloops RCMP have successfully dismantled a firearms manufacturing and trafficking operation in Chase, seizing a substantial cache that includes multiple firearms, body armor, ammunition, explosives, and even a 3D printer equipped for gun production. This enforcement action, executed by the Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) in collaboration with local law enforcement, follows an extensive intelligence-led investigation aimed at interrupting illicit firearms supply chains linked to rising drug-related violence in the region.

No injuries were reported during the operation, which featured chemical irritants due to its high-risk nature. Authorities believe this significant disruption will help reduce gun violence across the Thompson and Okanagan districts. The investigation remains ongoing, with charges anticipated, and the RCMP encourages anyone with information about drug trafficking and violence to come forward.
