Hybrid-frame 2011-style pistols have gone mainstream over the past decade and, unsurprisingly, many companies known for building traditional M1911s have joined in. Kimber Manufacturing introduced its 2K11 pistol, a full-size 2011-type handgun, in 2024, to complement the company’s scaled-for-concealed-carry KDS9c series. New for 2025, Kimber has introduced the 2K11 Pro, a more compact slide version of the full-size 2K11.

The Kimber 2K11 Pro takes the features of the original 2K11 and gives it a 4.25” barrel and shortened slide. Eclipse model shown.

The signature feature of the 2K11 Pro is its 4.25” “Commander”-length barrel and appropriately shortened slide with lightening cuts. The grip module is full-size to accommodate a 19-round 9 mm Luger or 11-round .45 ACP magazine (Kimber is also bucking the prevailing winds to offer most of its 2K11 pistols chambered in both 9 mm Luger and .45 ACP) and uses a full-length dustcover that has a Picatinny accessory rail that runs its length.

The Kimber 2K11 Pro is a more compact version of the 2K11 that is geared towards concealed carry. Royal model shown.

Like the full-size 2K11s, Pro models have a tool-less guide rod, an external extractor, a disconnector ramp, a GT match-grade trigger and an optics-ready slide. The slide, main frame and barrel are made of stainless steel. All Pro models use a fixed rear sight on the optics mount cover plate and ship with a C&H Precision optic adapter plate with an RMR footprint (other adapter plates are available to purchase) and a TAG Precision FiberLok 2 front sight with fiber-optic insert.

The 2K11 Pro is offered in five distinct models:
