While he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1985 to 1997, Ernest Langdon competed in matches with a Beretta M9. His proficiency caught the attention of the famed gunmaker, because after Langdon left the service, he became a member of Team Beretta. Using an upgraded Beretta 92, he won two World Speed Shooting Championship titles with the team, as well as several national championships.
He also worked for Beretta from 1997 to 2001 but left to train shooters and began performing custom pistol work. He later developed and introduced the “Trigger Job in a Bag,” which remains a popular choice among enthusiasts in its upgraded form.
The Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT) name reincorporated in Arizona in 2014. The company began pistol training programs immediately, but continued product development and handgun customization.
Working in collaboration with Beretta, LTT created the PX4 Compact Carry and PX4 Carry in 2017. The 92 Elite LTT pistol and LTT 1301 Shotgun followed.
It was a revolutionary step for the famed Beretta 92 family of pistols when Langdon patented a low red-dot cut for the famed Beretta 92 in 2020. The success led to expansion of the company’s custom services, which grew to include Heckler & Koch, Glock and Springfield Armory models.
To fill orders, LTT doubled its staff and by 2023, the firm opened a second facility in Mesa, Ariz. Ernest Langdon, company CEO, now has more than 35 years of experience in the firearm industry. Aimee Langdon, a four-time winner in Women’s Elite Tactical Games, was named president of the firm last month.
As part of the company’s 2024 celebration, it recently released 10-year anniversary 92 Elite LTTs. They are engraved with an individual number out of 100, come with a Savior Equipment soft pistol case and 10th anniversary patch. Pistol features include an LTT Ported barrel, the barrel and slide are both black nitride coated, the frame is bronze Cerakote and the gun wears limited-edition LOK Veloce G10 grips with inset 10th anniversary medallion.
