In Montgomery, law enforcement officials uncover an arsenal of 52 machine gun conversion devices hidden in a DoorDash bag, marking the largest seizure of its kind in the area. This operation resulted in federal charges against four individuals, including 22-year-olds Maceo Levar Edwards and Elliott Arjuna Turner, who are accused of illegal possession and transfer of these devices, classified as machine guns under federal law.

The investigation began following a tip about suspicious activity linked to narcotics and firearms at a residence on Pickfair Street. When officers initiated a traffic stop on Edwards and Turner, they discovered the illegal devices concealed in the bag, which were made from 3D-printed plastic and could sell for up to $100 each. The case underscores increasing concerns regarding the accessibility and distribution of such dangerous items in the community.
