A 36-year-old man from Chelsea, Massachusetts, is arrested after police discover him intoxicated and carrying a concealed firearm at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. On May 4, officers conducting routine checks observed Rivera and three others fishing on the property’s dock around 3 a.m., where they found a suspicious vehicle containing open alcohol containers and ammunition.

Upon questioning, Rivera reveals a 9mm handgun tucked into his waistband, leading to his arrest for carrying a firearm while intoxicated and without a permit. Set with a bail of $5,000, Rivera is now banned from the historic site and is scheduled to appear back in court on May 8 for an additional arraignment.
