Brandon R. Moore, a 37-year-old man, has been identified as the individual shot and killed by State Police during a domestic incident at Ellsworth Commons Apartments in Malta. The incident unfolded early Thursday morning when Moore barricaded himself inside his apartment, and despite negotiations, he emerged brandishing what appeared to be a handgun, leading to deadly force from officers.

During the confrontation, two troopers sustained injuries; they have since been treated and released. This shooting marks the second officer-involved shooting in Malta within just two days, raising concerns about officer safety and procedural effectiveness in handling such situations.
