A 32-year-old man dies from gunshot wounds in Whittier early Wednesday morning, potentially linked to an armed robbery attempt at a local business. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that the robbery was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the 13500 block of Telegraph Road, where armed men entered a cannabis dispensary and shots were fired before the suspects fled the scene.

Approximately 20 minutes after the robbery, the victim was admitted to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries at a second facility. Authorities have not confirmed whether the man was involved in the attempted robbery, and the investigation is still in its early stages. Law enforcement encourages anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the LASD’s Homicide Bureau.
