Two Milwaukee police officers were shot and critically injured while on duty, prompting the Milwaukee Police Association to demand immediate change to address escalating violence against law enforcement. The union highlighted a troubling pattern, noting that five officers have been killed in the line of duty over the last seven years, while dozens more have faced gunfire during their service to the community.
