Azjuan Meriwether, a key figure in an armed drug trafficking network, is sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to multiple offenses involving fentanyl and firearms. Meriwether’s organization reportedly distributed over 32 kilograms of fentanyl along with methamphetamine and cocaine, while also engaging in the illegal sale of firearms, including “ghost guns” and machinegun conversion devices known as “switches.”

His arrest followed a dramatic two-hour high-speed chase in Indiana, resulting in law enforcement uncovering a substantial cache of drugs in his vehicle, including approximately 375 grams of para-fluorofentanyl. This case was part of a broader Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces investigation, highlighting extensive efforts to dismantle significant drug trafficking operations threatening community safety.
