House Bill 1095, known as the “Municipal Carry Act,” is set to head to Governor Kevin Stitt’s desk after passing the Senate with a notable 39-8 vote. This legislation would empower municipalities to enact ordinances permitting city employees to carry concealed handguns in city-owned buildings, enhancing local control over concealed carry rights for government employees.

Governor Stitt has five days to make a decision on the bill’s future.
