Since its introduction in 2021, Walther has expanded the lineup of its flagship striker-fired, 9 mm Luger “Performance Duty Pistol” (PDP) to include everything from steel-framed competition models to its F-series of handguns designed for those with smaller hands. New for 2024, the company is applying its “PRO” treatment to the PDP F-Series.
New for 2024, Walther is applying PRO upgrades to its PDP F-Series handguns.
The PDP is a modern modular, ambidextrous and optics-ready semi-automatic handgun that exemplifies Walther’s “TEQ Philosophy” that focuses on the handgun’s trigger, ergonomics and quality. Its F-Series takes the basic PDP and modifies it to have a reduced trigger reach of 2.56”, a smaller grip circumference and slide that requires 20 percent less force to rack than a standard PDP. The F-Series frame has SuperTerrain texturing on it and removable backstraps to customize its size. Optics are mounted via Walther’s plate system with their PDP 2.0 optics cut.

PRO enhancements applied to the pistol include a removable aluminum magazine well and extended 18-round magazines with aluminum base pads to facilitate quicker reloads. Three magazines are included with each pistol and a version with 10-round magazines is also available. The fire control unit is Walther’s flat-faced Dynamic Performance Trigger (DPT). Like the standard F-Series pistols, the F-Series PRO is available with either a 3.5” or 4” barrel.
The PDP F-Series is available in both 3.5” (pictured) and 4” barrel versions.
