Argentinean manufacturer Bersa has long been known for its affordable concealed-carry pistols. The company not only has a U.S.-based subsidiary, it has also begun to manufacture firearms, including AR-15s, M1911s, and suppressors in this country. The company’s latest American-made product is the new-for-2025 M2XI.

As a follow-up to its first M1911 model made in America, Bersa is manufacturing the M2XI, a 2011-style design.

Building on its experience in manufacturing M1911s, Bersa is introducing its first 2011-style design. This means the M2XI uses a hybrid frame design that takes a double-column magazine. In the case of the M2XI, the frame includes a polymer grip module with a removable, flared magazine well and a mainframe made of 416 stainless steel, with a squared-off, undercut trigger, a Picatinny accessory rail on its dustcover and an extended beavertail.

The M2XI uses a bushingless barrel system and a slide with lightening cuts.

Action and controls are traditional M1911, including hammer-fired, single-action-only firing mechanism, grip safety and manual thumb safety. The trigger is skeletonized and flat-faced. A full-length guide rod is used. Chambered in 9 mm Luger, the M2XI uses STI/Staccato pattern magazines and comes with one 17-round and one 22-round extended magazine.

The M2XI is available with its stainless steel parts given a natural brushed finish.

Like the frame, the slide of the M2XI is made of 416 stainless that is optics cut with a Holosun K footprint and lightening cuts in the front. Iron sights are a front post with tritium insert and a drift-adjustable square notched rear with a serrated face. Their height allows them to co-witness with an installed optic. The 5” match-grade bull barrel is also made of stainless steel and does not use a bushing where it interfaces with the slide. The pistol weighs 30 ozs.

The M2XI is available with two finish options—black nitride finish or brushed stainless. The Bersa M2XI has an MSRP of $1,479 for either the black or stainless finish. For more information, see the company’s website.
