CZ’s Shadow 2 line of pistols has taken the classic and groundbreaking CZ 75 and brought it into the 21st century with modern materials, re-designed ergonomics, an accessory rail and optics-ready capability, ready to take on a marketplace filled with polymer-frame, striker-fired options. The latest model to join the family is the Shadow 2 Carry, a handgun the company says was “born from sport, tailored for EDC.”
The 9 mm Luger CZ Shadow 2 Carry has all the features the series is known for. Based around a forged 7075-T6 aluminum frame, its front and rear straps are checkered and a three-slot Picatinny rail is machined into its dust cover. The frame has been re-designed to have a shorter reach to the trigger and controls are re-positioned for easier accessibility for a wider range of hand sizes. Its double-action/single-action firing mechanism has a newly-added firing pin block for safety and a bilateral decocker. The Shadow 2 Carry’s 4” barrel is cold hammer-forged and comes with a lifetime warranty. Black Duralumin grips round out an all-black package.
The Shadow 2 Carry’s slide has front and rear serrations, and the pistol is optics ready with a direct-mount Shield RMSc footprint. Iron sights co-witness with a mounted optic and feature a luminescent three-dot sighting system. Magazines have a 15-round capacity, and two are supplied with each pistol. The magazine release button is reversible for right and left-handed use.
