Hi-Point Firearms has popular multi-caliber lineups of innovative and affordable handguns and pistol-caliber carbines. The company’s latest introduction is a combination of the two — its well-known carbine rendered in a pistol format in the new-for-2025 995P, 4595P and 1095P.
Hi-Point is introducing a pistol version of its popular pistol-caliber, semi-automatic carbines. The 995P is shown.
Like their rifle-format siblings, the 9 mm Luger 995P, .45 ACP 4595P and 10 mm Auto 1095P are blowback-operated, semi-automatic firearms with a last-round bolt hold-open feature. The handguard has a Picatinny accessory rail at the 6-o’clock position. Sights are a fully adjustable “ghost ring” rear aperture and a front post with a fiber-optic insert. An upper receiver rail section allows for the mounting of optics.
Hi-Point’s large-format pistols have a backplate with a Picatinny rail section and QD swivel spigot, which can be removed to allow an AR-type buffer tube to be attached to the rear of the receiver to accommodate pistol braces.
As pistols, there is no stock, but a backplate at the rear of the receiver with a section of Picatinny rail for attaching accessories, along with a QD sling swivel spigot (a sling and swivel are included). Removing the backplate reveals a threaded attachment point for an AR-15-type buffer tube for using pistol braces. The 995P has an overall length of 20.75” with a 13.25” barrel and weighs 6.21 lbs., while the 4595P and 1095P both have an overall length of 21.75” with a 14.25” barrel and weigh 6.5 lbs. For attaching accessories, the muzzle of the 995P is threaded 1/2×28 TPI, while the 4595P and 1095P have .578×28 TPI.
In addition to the 9 mm Luger 995P, a .45 ACP 4595P (shown) and 10 mm Auto 1095P will also be offered.
The new Hi-Point pistols will be released in three packages. The first is the basic pistol, the second includes two extended 20-round RedBall Sports magazines (2xRB) (two 10-round magazines, in the case of the 1095P), and the third includes the two extended magazines and a Crimson Trace CTS-25 red-dot sight installed from the factory (RDCT 2xRB).
Hi-Point’s new large-format pistols are available with an extended 20-round magazine and factory-installed Crimson Trace red-dot sight.
