Two Wisconsin hunters, Eliot Babino of Platteville and Cody Kabus of Independence, receive the prestigious 2024 Ethical Hunter Award from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for their commendable actions during deer hunts. The awards ceremony, held on April 17, highlights Babino’s integrity in returning lost firearms to their rightful owners and Kabus’s commitment to ethical hunting by ensuring a wounded deer was given to its rightful bowhunter.
